Indigo Festival: Hyperconsumption – The Age of Unpredictability
Under the theme “Hyperconsumption” Indigo Festival will explore the crisis of saturation that defines contemporary society through a dynamic intersection of philosophy, music, and contemporary design. Framed by the provocative motto “Slop till you drop,” the festival will offer a much-needed space for reflection, critical thought, and the search for collective responses in a world where causes and consequences are becoming increasingly unpredictable.
We are living through an age of civilizational strain. The hyperproduction of material goods, digital content, and informational noise dictates the rhythm of everyday life. Individuals are becoming passive recipients of algorithmically generated clutter, trapped in an endless cycle of consumption, attention extraction, and perpetual activity.
Indigo Festival goes beyond a critique of consumerism. Instead, it focuses on a tipping point – the moment when today’s actions set in motion chains of consequences that can no longer be fully predicted or controlled. The festival foregrounds questions about the social, environmental, and psychological impacts of a world shaped by excess, acceleration, and relentless production.
Hyperconsumption is therefore an invitation to pause, reconsider, and imagine new forms of collective action at a time when the consequences of our choices are becoming ever more complex and far-reaching.
