Félicia Atkinson is a French electroacoustic composer and visual artist. Her compositions merge human speech with objects and concepts that, in the conventional sense, do not possess speech: landscapes, images, books, memories, ideas. She animates and collages these elements with whispered fragments of her own voice, plein-air sound recordings, instrumental music, and spoken French essayistic text. Her compositions are layered soundscapes that tell stories across intersections of time and space. Within her music, Félicia Atkinson positions herself as a narrator rather than a protagonist.
