Forensic Architecture is a multidisciplinary research group at Goldsmiths, University of London, using architectural and media techniques to investigate state violence and human rights violations worldwide. The group is led by architect Eyal Weizman. Its team, which includes architects, researchers, artists, journalists, lawyers, and scientists, develops new methods of evidence gathering and collaborates with local communities, international prosecutors, and human rights organizations. Forensic Architecture emerged during the “open source revolution”. Its work involves geolocating videos and images within 3D digital models, as well as using open-source research and various methodologies, including software development, interactive mapping, remote sensing, satellite image analysis, fluid dynamics simulation, and “situated testimony”.
The work of the Forensic Architecture group will be presented by its member, Senior Researcher Nour Abuzaid.
